I'm genuinely in awe. This is magnificent. There are so many things I love about this that I can't really begin to put it into words. You had me intrigued at "dead wife", and hooked at "watches the world pass from the back seat". Your imagery is just fantastic, absolutely wonderful, and you kept me reading through the whole chapter, which hasn't happened for me in a while.
